Hello Reader,

2025 continues to be a year of shedding for Dan & me. Are you experiencing shedding events this year? To counteract the effects of so much moving out of our lives, we are prioritizing organization (our stuff and life in general) and fun!

2025 is a year that is revealing abundance. Our garden is doing well. We have a bumper crop of raspberries, which is amazing because they have been the most neglected in our garden and have grown into a tangled jungle! There are so many berries this year, I don't have to fight off the birds to harvest what I need for jelly!

On July 6th, we hiked into Jewel Basin to capture one of my favorite gateways.

2025 - Year of Doorways & Gateways

The Jewel Basin is one of my favorite places to hike. This photo is looking up to the gateway from the trail below. Fortunately, the trail winds around to the threshold and not straight up the hill!

There was a period in my life prior to 2008 when I could barely walk and thought I'd never be able to hike into the Jewel Basin again. Being able to experience this magical place again was one of my major motivators for getting well. Tears streamed down my face when I crested this particular threshold and made it into the lake after years of not being able to hike. My eyes still well up each time I make this hike - for me, it is a marker of wellness and the ability to walk.

Even before I understood the greater reality of life, I was unconsciously tapped into the metaphysical world. Just like the first time I hiked into the Jewel and crossed through this gateway, I feel like I am entering a magical place and time, one full of Peace and Joy! Spending the day in this enchanted space rejuvenates my body, mind, and soul!

The trail to the gateway is accurately rated strenuous. From here to Picnic Lakes, our destination for the day, the hike is more moderate - except this year there was a lot of snow to traverse. The photos below show Dan on the trail through the snow, the map of Jewel Basin, and the reward at the end of the trail! Gathering of Light - Thank You July 2025

Thank you to Tara and Sharon for joining us for the first of many magical gatherings here in the Swan Valley!

Dan & I enjoyed giving the tour of our land and sharing our dream of hosting Crystal Singing Bowl Sound Sessions and meditative retreats. The small prayer & drum circle brought a mystical frequency to the space. At the end of the day, Tara stated that she felt like she had helped open or expand a healing portal.

The forest loves when the Crystal Singing Bowls are played within its space. This sound bath was no exception as the wind, trees, and birds all responded to the harmony of the bowls. Sharon stated that she has attended many sound baths and felt the sound bath during the Gathering of Light took her into a very deep state.

Crystal Singing Bowl Sound Bath - Update

At this time, we do not have a sound bath scheduled. We hope the month of August will allow us a breather from more shedding events so we can finally work on the pavilion area - our summertime space to play the Crystal Singing Bowls! Any Love & Light you would like to flood on this project would be appreciated!
