Hello Reader, Welcome September! There are subtle signs that the season will be changing soon - squirrels dropping cones from the tree tops, hornets getting more aggressive, and chickadees & nuthatches switching to their autumn song. Our goal this summer was more fun & getting organized. We did manage another hike - this time into the Mission Mountain Wilderness. Organization continues to elude us with ongoing shedding events taking most of our attention. I think we'll have a huge bonfire on New Year's Eve and step into fresh energy at the end of this year. Whew! There are no Singing Bowl Sound Bath plans for September. However, please join me on Zoom for the Laughing Experiment starting September 2nd. See details below! Love & Light, Kathy 2025 - Year of Doorways & GatewaysSeptember is my birthday month. I always thought it was cool that school started about the time of my birthday. Since I loved school, it was like a celebration for me. Some years, like 2025, Labor Day is on my birthday, so it is like a double celebration just for me - the entire nation takes time off! The architecture of the Central School building in Kalispell is similar to the Central School I attended in Helena, Montana, for my elementary years. I did have a couple of mean teachers, but overall, I enjoyed going to school and learning. Many people I know did not enjoy school. They described that it was torturous, or they were bored out of their mind. Stories I have heard before I became a public school teacher and events I witnessed 'from the inside' after I became a teacher are horrendous. Reflecting on the last decades of my life, I think about all the doorways I have crossed that include actual school doorways, but the many doorways that have sent me down a learning path - through the doorway to the school of hard knocks! What was your school experience like? Exciting? Torturous? Mundane? Gathering of Light - Love Note July 2025
I attended 'A Gathering of Light' that Kathy & Dan held at their property on July 13th. I was so grateful to have a place to go to acknowledge the changes we are stepping into. I am finally starting to understand things that I hid from myself. I believe all of us are going through this "opening of the veils" at this time. We are so lucky to be on Earth now and have an opportunity to fulfill our souls' intentions.
Kathy & Dan hold space in such a gentle way. We did some drumming and sent our intentions out into the world. They were so simpatico with the sound bath they offered. It was a complete delight and opened new awareness for me long after the event. I am very grateful for the opportunity to celebrate with like minds and hearts as we enter this golden age!
